The combination of gabion cages:

Gabion Cage - Installation

1. Arrange the cages in place with staggered seams to avoid longitudinal through seams.

2. Stand up the four sides of the cage, and lock the adjacent edges with the binding thread. When binding, wrap the binding thread around the two overlapping frame lines (when sewing the edges) or the double kink between the frame line and the cage ( When sewing the grille), screw it tightly to avoid damage by heavy galvanizing, and the thread pitch is not more than 50 mm.

3. When installing the gabion cage on the completed bottom net, use the binding wire to fix it on the bottom gabion cage along the lower frame of the newly installed cage, and the adjacent cages on the same layer should also use the binding wire to each other. Fasten, so that the gabion cages are integrated.

4. In the construction of the same horizontal layer of a unit project, the pebbles should be filled after all the gabion nets are in place. The height difference of rock filling should not be greater than 35 cm;

5. Before the cage is installed, the bank slope and the ground should be properly trimmed, and the original shape of the bank slope should be maintained as much as possible, but there should be no obvious uplift and depression.

6. The filled pebbles are selected on the floodplain, and their compressive strength should meet the design requirements. The particle size of the pebbles should be between 8 and 20 cm, and the size should be reasonably matched to meet the design requirements of the porosity and ensure the straight line of the gabion net. shape.
